The Swirl: Solid Copper Statement Collar
Elegant. Sculptural. Seamless.
Part of my debut Solid Copper collection, The Swirl is a celebration of fluid lines and ancient artisan techniques. Hand-forged during my recovery period, this piece represents a turning point in my design journey—moving away from traditional fastenings to create a wearable work of art that feels like a natural extension of the body.
The Design
The hallmark of this collar is its claspless construction. It is designed to be gently opened and slipped around the neck, where it sits securely, framing the collarbones and beautifully accentuating the shoulders. Just gently bend it round your neck to fit perfectly.
The focal point is a dramatic, hand-formed spiral that terminates in a bold, pendant-style drop. To add depth and character, I have applied a hand-hammered texture to the copper. This creates hundreds of tiny facets that catch and dance with the light, giving the metal a radiant, shimmering “soul” that smooth copper simply can’t match.
Craftsmanship & Details
Material: 100% Solid Copper.
Finish: High-shine polish with a deep, hand-hammered texture.
Structure: Forged for durability while maintaining enough flexibility for a comfortable, custom fit.
Style: No clasp/open-front collar.
Why Copper?
Copper is a grounding metal, loved for centuries for its warm, earthy glow. Over time, this collar will develop a unique patina, or it can be easily polished to maintain its original brilliant shimmer. Remove before swimming or showering: Chemicals in pools and soaps can dull the copper finish.
These are made to order, so give 2 weeks for your special piece.
Every “Swirl” collar is individually hand-wrought, meaning no two pieces are ever exactly alike. Own a piece of handcrafted elegance.
