All materials are included in the cost of the class including the Cabochon but if you have a special one that you want to use then please feel free to bring it with you.
The Cabochon Tree of Life Pendant Workshop will enable you to set your beautiful Cabochons in a wire Tree setting and transform them into amazing pendants.
This is fantastic for cabochons and other flatter stones of all kinds. This technique will also teach you how to form a tree using wire which will encase a stone withing a beautiful pendant.
The techniques covered in this course form a great foundation for developing more advanced wire jewellery skills but also equip you with everything you need to make professional quality pendants from home.
A fun and versatile class not to be missed!
Learn the age-old technique of wire wrapping, a great way of showing off shaped stones. No soldering or gluing is involved and you will learn to twist and interlock wire to create stunning statement pieces.
Techniques covered in this class include:
- Learn about pliers, wire and basic tools used
- Making a bail to hang the pendant from
- How to professionally cut, shape and twist wire
- How to wrap wires securely together without ends that catch
- Create a wire wrapped stone pendent
- How to form a tree using multiple pieces of wire
- How to securely set a stone in your tree design
You will create a wire wrapped crystal pendant to treasure for years to come.
Although no previous experience is necessary, this is a Level 2 in the Tree of Life Pendant workshops and can be a little fiddly at times. Suitable for all.
Face-to-face workshops are great fun and informative. Being face-to-face, unlike video tutorials, means you can ask questions, get help when you are stuck, meet other likeminded people and enjoy the group workshop setting. I will be there to support you every step of the way and you will be able to see the process at different angles so you will be able to create your beautiful pendant with ease.
The size of the classes is kept small to allow plenty of one-on-one attention and the maximum number of students for this class is 9.
Please park in the carpark at Tollgate, Peterborough PE3 9XD, access through the gate into the workshop! Look for the Green Sign. (Car park is circled on the map)

Event FAQs
The workshop is situated outback, in a garden setting. This is where the workshop will be held so no one is in the house. Please park in the carpark round back and come through the Jewellery entrance.

Please ring me on the mobile number provided in the email before the worshop starts and let me know, then I can try and coplete the first steps for you until you arrive.
The entrance through the back into the garden has a 2cm lip as you come through the gate and there is a small step into the workshop. Folding wheelchairs are able to be manouvered in. The jewellery bench is at standing height so a small foldout table can be provided.
Unfortunately the toilets are in side the house which is not accessible to wheelchairs.
Don't worry. I am there to support everyone. The great thing about being at a face-to-face workshop is that the tutor is there for hands on support. At any point you feel you are struggling or need some guidance then just call out and I will come over and get you back on track.
